{ Sister Sweetly } Toledo Family Photographer

I don’t see these girls as much as I wish I did….these three are my cousins that live up north, and we FINALLY got together to do a sister’s session as a surprise for their mom for her birthday.  We drove back behind our grandparent’s house by the river and did the pictures there and I LOVE how they turned out, the lighting was just gorgeous, and so were my subjects. :D

C is going back to college this fall, H is starting college this fall and I can’t believe how big E is, she has grown up so much in the past year!  As I was going through these photos I couldn’t believe how much H and E (the blondies) look like their mama!!!  C looks just like her daddy! ;)

Love you girls!!
Enjoy! :)

{ meet miss scarlet } Toledo Children’s Photographer

Miss Scarlet came in for her 7 month portraits today.  I have met her before, I did her newborn pictures but I don’t think she remembered me.  It was so nice to see her again, I love having repeat clients and watching them grow.

Mama brought her in wearing red, to compliment her pretty name.

She was so serious….

This picture taking is some serious business! :)

She loved being nakie, although she’s not too sure about this bowl she’s in…

I love me some bare baby bootie :D

Red really compliments her pretty skin, don’t you think?

I have this new prop that I wanted to try out right at the end but Horsie and Scarlet just don’t get along. :(

Inga, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek, the rest will be ready very soon.  Thanks for coming in, she is such a perfect little girl!

{winter blues…}

I used to hate the changing seasons, I always wanted the current season (only summer or winter!) to stay the way it was forever.  I hated spring because it wasn’t quite yet summer, and everything was muddy and wet.  Fall was despised almost just as much, everything looked dark and dead to me and the warm days of summer was beginning to be just a distant memory.  Summer days meant lots of swimming and boating in the lake….days filled with friends coming over to play and staying up late into the night whispering and giggling about whatever little girls find silly and funny.  Winter meant sledding, hot chocolate, snow angels and warm fires.  And best of all….Christmas!   My birthday is also in December, so that month has always held a bit of excitement and anticipation for me.

Since I have gotten older I have come to appreciate the change of seasons.  It is a reminder to me at how fast time is passing us by, holidays and birthdays just whirring past me on fast forward.  This winter though….has seemed to DRAG by!  I am tired of the cold, and so ready for spring.  Spring awakens everyone and it always makes me giggle to see us northerners walking around in shorts and flip flops when it’s 50 degrees out.  *giggle*  I am waiting [im]patiently for spring to arrive, so that I can walk outside again without freezing the tip of my nose right off, so I can take my kids outside and let them run like wild dogs.  Summers are still spent swimming in the lake as much as possible at home, and this summer I hope to get to our cottage up north much more often!  We have so much work to do on it, and I am excited at the prospect of it looking like a cottage instead of an abandoned trashbin. :D

Even though I am ready for spring and summer, I have always loved the snow.  If it’s going to be cold, let there be snow!!

I am beyond thrilled with this session! They said they weren’t photogenic…can you believe it? I think they were fibbing =)

I love love love how obvious their love is for each other….and how it shows in these photos. The little looks that families and couples share make me feel so lucky to be able to witness it and record it…frozen in time. Steffany and Steve, thank you so much and I so enjoyed meeting you! Little Sophia is a DOLLY, but I’m sure you already know that. :)

Lori and I have been best friends since our junior year in high school. Lemme tell ya, that was a long time ago *snicker* We have both lived on opposite sides of the country, coming back to live together in Toledo and then we both went our own ways to marry. She has recently moved back to the area and I am so thankful to have her back in my life. We can go for months on end not seeing each other but when we do it’s like no time has passed. Anyway, I’ll stop with my sappiness. =) Lori and Chad, we love you both…thank you for being in our lives!
As a sidenote….they wanted pictures with their dogs. Well, what an experience THAT was! 3/4 of the pictures had a dog nose or dog butt in one corner…..they didn’t really want their pictures taken (the dogs) but HAD to be running in front of the camera at all times, LOL!

{grace is….5}

I had so much fun doing Grace’s pictures. She’s such a ham, she poses perfect for the camera and just has that “look” about her. I did her brother Wyatt’s pictures just a month or two ago and will be doing her older sister’s 12 birthday pictures within the next week or so.

Please leave me some blog lovies :) {comments}

{tysir…maternity}

Something a little different for me….and I LOVE it! Seriously…how is it possible that so many beautiful people come to me to do their photos? Tysir is 8 months along in these photos…with her second child. I know, right? Don’t you want to hate her? :) She is absolutely BREATHTAKING in these photos, and her husband serves for some great eye candy, eh? I absolutely loved doing this session, Ty and Jason were up for anything, I just hope nobody was getting the binoculars out and seeing what we were doing back there, LOL! I hope you love them Ty, I should have the rest of them to you by the end of the weekend!
